Freelance clubs in Paris: 10 communities so you stop working alone

In brief

  • Paris has free communities (café coworking, Meetup gatherings, morning talks) and paid networks (from €80 to €600 a year).
  • Formats vary: drinks, breakfast, peer circles, seated dinners, running.
  • The right choice depends on what you are after: clients, peers, or simply fewer days on your own.
  • Everything below comes from the official websites, read in October 2026.

When you work alone, you have to choose where you meet people. Paris offers plenty of options, but they do not suit everyone equally. Here are eleven active communities, with their format, price and audience, to help you sort through them. Tablez Club, which publishes this journal, is on the list: we have described it exactly like the others.

How to read this comparison

For each community, three markers:

  • Format: how and how often people get together;
  • Price: as shown on the website at the time of writing;
  • Who it’s for: the intended audience, according to the organiser.

Prices and calendars change. Always check the website before signing up.

The 10 communities

1. Paris International Freelancer Networking Group

  • Format: freelancer drinks every other Tuesday at 8.30pm, at Café Oz Châtelet (1st arrondissement), in English.
  • Price: no fee shown on the event page.
  • Who it’s for: freelancers in any line of work who are comfortable in English; the organiser aims for an international atmosphere.

2. CoworkMeet

  • Format: coworking sessions in Parisian cafés and hotels, in small groups, several times a week. It is a not-for-profit organisation registered under France’s 1901 law.
  • Price: sessions are free. Optional membership costs €12 to €150 per season.
  • Who it’s for: freelancers, entrepreneurs and remote workers who want to work alongside other people.

3. CreativeMornings Paris

  • Format: one talk a month, on a Friday morning, followed by time to chat. The Paris chapter started up again after a pause in 2020.
  • Price: free, according to the website (“always free of charge”).
  • Who it’s for: creative and curious people. It is not limited to freelancers.

4. Coopaname

  • Format: a business and employment cooperative. You keep your own activity, with the status of an employee-entrepreneur and a collective of around 500 members.
  • Price: €30 a month (waived for people on minimum social benefits) plus 13.5% of gross margin.
  • Who it’s for: independents who want both a protective status and a collective.

5. Bouge ta Boîte

  • Format: circles of women entrepreneurs who used to meet twice a month, in person or by video.
  • Where it stands: the network went into court-ordered liquidation in July 2025. We keep it in the list because it still shows up in many comparisons, but its plans are no longer on sale.
  • Who it’s for: women entrepreneurs and independents, who will turn to Femmes des Territoires or the CCI networks instead.

6. Femmes des Territoires

  • Format: a national network with local branches, including Paris: breakfasts, meetings and webinars.
  • Price: €80 a year, €40 for people on minimum social benefits, with a two-month free trial.
  • Who it’s for: women starting a business.

7. BNI

  • Format: groups that meet every week from 7am to 9.30am, on a fixed day and at a fixed venue. The principle: members refer clients to one another. More than 700 groups in France.
  • Price: not shown on the website. Visits are open.
  • Who it’s for: entrepreneurs and professionals ready for a weekly commitment.

8. Linkeat

  • Format: weekly dinners for 6 to 8 entrepreneurs, matched by an algorithm, with an ambassador at the table.
  • Price: the service is free according to its website; €45 to €55 for the meal at the restaurant.
  • Who it’s for: entrepreneurs and freelancers who are happy to accept a date they are offered.

9. Timeleft

  • Format: dinners among strangers on Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm, for 4 to 6 people, plus coffees, drinks, runs and walks.
  • Price: a subscription or a ticket, at the rate shown in the app; the meal is extra.
  • Who it’s for: any adult who wants to widen their circle. The aim is friendship, not business.

10. Paname Run Club

  • Format: a running club founded in 2022. Every Tuesday, the run ends with a DJ set.
  • Price: “100% of runs” are free, according to the website.
  • Who it’s for: young Parisians who like running. It is not a professional network, but it is a good cure for days without seeing anyone.

How to choose

Ask yourself three questions.

  1. What are you looking for? Clients: a business club or a table put together around goals. Peers: a circle or a coworking group. Simply some human contact: a sports club or a dinner among strangers.
  2. What rhythm can you keep up? A network only works if you keep coming back. A monthly meeting you actually attend beats a weekly one you drop.
  3. Which setting puts you at ease? Standing in a bar, seated at a table, in running kit: pick the one where you will really talk.

You can also combine two formats: a shared workspace during the week, and a table or a circle for more meaningful encounters. To see how a table works with us, read how it works.

And us?

Tablez Club runs dinners on Thursdays and lunches on Tuesdays in Paris, for freelancers and entrepreneurs matched by goals. We don’t put ourselves in the ranking above: compare for yourself. How it works.

Frequently asked questions

Are there free communities for freelancers in Paris?

Yes. CoworkMeet offers free coworking sessions, CreativeMornings Paris free talks, and Paname Run Club free runs. The Paris International Freelancer Networking Group does not show a fee for its drinks.

What is the difference between a business club and a freelance community?

A business club, such as BNI, organises client referrals, with a regular commitment. A freelance community is mainly about mutual support and connection between peers. Some formats, such as dinners put together around goals, do both.

How much does a club for independents in Paris cost?

From free to €600 a year for the networks on this list that show a price. At Linkeat and Tablez Club, you pay per dinner: €0 at Linkeat, a €15 booking deducted from the bill at Tablez Club, plus the meal. Timeleft works on a subscription basis.
