A Tuesday lunchtime, six to eight of you
A table for six to eight, in a restaurant where the dish of the day comes out fast.
Why lunch
Plenty of independents no longer go out at night: there are children to put to bed, or the last RER home. At lunchtime they eat anyway. They may as well do it somewhere other than over the keyboard, with a plate someone else has cooked.
How it goes
- 12:30 pm: everyone is seated, and you introduce yourselves as you order.
- 12:45 pm: the food arrives and the conversation is under way.
- 1:45 pm at the latest: everyone pays for what they had and goes back to work.
What it costs
- €15 to book online, taken off your bill.
- At the restaurant, you pay for what you have, often the lunch menu.
Who it’s for
For independents who have worked in the same neighbourhood for years without ever crossing paths, and for those who keep their evenings for other things.
